Business cards sound outdated, but not if they’re used in an innovative way. We live in a digital age, so why not make use of that?
Messenger codes are the way forward: they allow for people to privately message your business and initiate conversation – this can significantly optimise customer engagement.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to setting up your Messenger code business cards.
1. Find Your Messenger Code
To find the messenger code for your Facebook Page, go to your Page’s inbox. Near the toggle for you away message, you’ll find an icon that looks like this.
When you click it, your messenger code will be displayed, along with the option to download it and a quick demo of how it works.
2. Download Your Messenger Code
When you click the Download drop down menu, you can choose from three image sizes in which to download your Messenger code. The code will automatically download as a transparent image, which makes it ready to paste onto pretty much any image – like business cards for example!
3. Make Sure People Know How To Use The Code
It’s easy as one, two, three, but if people don’t know how to scan the Messenger code, they won’t. Luckily, it’s not a hard feature to find.
In the Messenger app, under the People tab, the following option appears.
4. Set Up Your Auto Responder
There is now an option to set a Messenger greeting. This personalised greeting appears when people open a conversation with your page for the first time – however, these are NOT Instant Replies.
Instant Replies are sent to people after they’ve sent your page a message. You can set either of these up in Business Manager.
5. Print Your Messenger Code On Your Business Cards…
…Or anywhere else! Your Messenger code is a clever way to promote your business and an express way to connecting with your existing customers or potential new customers.
